Are you staying on top of the social media trends this year? Even though it’s July and we are halfway through the year, you can still pay attention to these top trends we’ve shared with our clients when planning your editorial calendar for fall.

1 – Be Authentic

Consumers are getting more savvy. Brands who truly want to make a connection with their audience and share real stories, honest information about their product or service and if you have a forward facing personality behind the brand – let them shine through!

2 – Short Form Video

This trend is not going away. Short, interesting bits of content will continue to perform well across platforms. Make it quick and make it engaging no matter which channel you are using. YouTube shorts are continuing to grow, along with TikTok and Instagram Reels.

3 – Relatable Content

Social media is not the place for your commercial or print ad content. Make relatable (and if you can fun) content specially for your social media channels.

4 – Influencers

Businesses and brands utilizing influencers are going to stay strong, but go smaller – micro-influencers is where it is at. This is a trend you don’t want to miss out on and guess what? Micro-influencers are our favorite to work with on behalf of our clients.

5 – Get Visual

Great visuals will continue to be important. Create infographics to break down complex information, have graphics that catch the reader’s eye and help provide context to your topic.
