Action San Antonio

Action San Antonio is a free quarterly workshop and annual camp program organized by Colleen Pence of Social Media Mentoring, Molly Cox and Fran Stephenson of Step In Communication, four San Antonio volunteers who have banded together to help nonprofits in the San Antonio community adapt and adopt new technologies into their community practice. Go visit the blog and join us for the next Action San Antonio event.  In 2012, the group aligned with the SAN Council.  Breakfast dates for 2012 are Feb. 29, May 9, August 8. Action Camp will be held on Oct. 26, location TBD.

Travel and Tourism College

Tourism professionals from across the Southwest convene for one week on the campus of Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas for an intensive curriculum of tourism marketing and management courses. It’s an initiative of the Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA).  This year, Fran Stephenson will be teaching  all three classes. The Freshman class will participate in a workshop called “Can You Handle Your Next Crisis?” The Senior Class will participate in a capstone workshop called “Lights, Camera, Crisis” to test their learnings from the past two years. Travel and Tourism College convenes the week of June 18, 2012.

Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas

Coaching Girl Champions to be successful bloggers is part of my volunteer work with the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas for their 100th Birthday Celebration.
